Meet Our Experts

M.M Mbusube Ph.D; Petroleum Geoscientist.

Expert Research Geoscientist

Mbusube is a third-generation oil and gas professional who holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Maiduguri, an MSc in Petroleum and Gas Engineering from the University of Salford Manchester United Kingdom and a PhD at the institute of GeoEnergy Engineering, Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh United Kingdom. Mbusube
is an expert in reservoir characterization and reservoir modelling.
He is also an advanced user of commercial reservoir simulation software packages and state-of-the-art reservoir simulation workflows. A particular strength of his in this regard is his ability to link reservoir geology to reservoir dynamics, including the
impact of reservoir heterogeneities associated with the forecasting of reservoir performance, this understanding enables him to make value-based decisions when managing reservoirs.
Mbusube is professionally affiliated to SPE, EAGE, NAPE & NMGS.

Yusuf Abubakar, Ph.D; Chattered Geochemist.

Dr. Yusuf is a chartered organic geochemist with a background in geology and a fellow of the Geological Society of London (FGS), the Higher Education Academy
(FHEA) and the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA), United Kingdom. His expertise centers on carbon sequestration, low carbon energies, and petroleum systems. Over a decade of study and research in geochemistry and geology and relevant experience from the industry, he has
immensely improved and made achievements in three broad interrelated themes; (i)Nutrient cycling (ii) Factors critical in hydrocarbon source rock formation (iii) Pollution, bioremediation, and energy
decarbonization, linked to ecosystem health and sustainability.

Jamilu Usman, Ph.D; Separations Expert.

Petroleum Chemist/Membrane Expert.

Dr. Jamilu holds a bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry from Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto, as well as a master’s degree in petroleum Geochemistry from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. He subsequently obtained a Ph.D. from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Chemical Engineering with a focus on applications of ceramic membranes for oil recovery from oilfield produced
water.
He has vast experience teaching and mentoring young chemists, reviewing for high impact journals as well as consulting for the Sokoto state government.
